House on the Costa Brava

When the team started work on this project, they focused on four main elements that would be the common themes of this second home situated in a perfect enclave, the Costa Brava.
The concrete, basalt stone, gloss lacquer, and stained oak parquet provide visual and material continuity, given that they are repeated throughout the different rooms of the house, both inside and outside.
The feeling of harmony offered by the façade covered in basalt stone welcomes you into the house: combined with the main stained oak cladding, this provides balance to the building.
The outdoor space is a fusion between Mediterranean and Japanese aesthetics. A walkway of concrete slabs interspersed with grass runs through the garden leading to the pool area, also made of concrete.
The chill-out area, one of the open rooms outside, is made with metal slats that can be oriented electronically depending on the weather.

Next to the chill-out area is the summer dining area with a prominent element, the table designed by Ferruz, made of galvanised folded plate, and benches made with basalt block and matching upholstered cushions.
A round turret made with wooden slats generates the ideal sun and shade effect for those leisurely moments that the family loves so much.
The interior of the house follows the same guidelines as the exterior. On the ground floor is the living-dining room, kitchen, and the reading room or library with fireplace. The fact that it is such an open house allows the family to enjoy the environment wherever they are. The living-dining room is a large open space divided by a practical twin-surface bookcase with a lot of aesthetic weight.
Next to the living room is the high-end Hi-Line kitchen by Dada.

The formwork concrete staircase and the solid oak blocks on the riser is one of the most exciting and impressive elements of the house.
On the upper floor is the suite and bedrooms.
The master suite has views of the coves, the mountain pine trees, and the typically Mediterranean cliffs of the Costa Brava. The icing on the cake of this
couple’s private space is the private terrace with basalt stone jacuzzi and the natural wood flooring.
The basement floor has another play area and a private cinema room to enjoy with family and friends.
