TP Apartment
Comprehensive renovation of this 550m2 apartment located in the Turó Park area of Barcelona.
For this project, a reinterpretation of the classic within modernity was made, following the traditional distribution of mid-20th century apartments: dining room, living room, library, office, in which the spaces join and communicate with each other forming a single environment, but at the same time they can be separated by different sliding doors.
The distribution, as can be seen throughout the apartment, is one of the strengths of this project. The hall that distributes the day area, the night area and the kitchen, for example, functions as a lobby, following the aesthetics of the elements recovered from the boiseries and cornices.
The day area is very refined and is furnished with sophisticated pieces such as the Promemoria buffet or desk in the office, or the Minotti furniture in the living room. Throughout the project, existing elements are combined and given a twist, such as the moldings and the fireplace, with new elements such as the large-format brushed and waxed solid oak floor or the ceilings, which are pure decoration and were made on-site to seek authenticity and hide the originals. The custom-made carpentry is one of the main elements of the decoration of this project. In the living room, the curved brass air grilles were redesigned, simulating the old grilles.
The kitchen is one of the highlights of the apartment. Due to the client’s requirements and needs, the objective was to personalize it as much as possible, designing a space with several work areas in the style of an urban Txoko. This space in itself acquires an industrial air where iron carpentry, stainless steel, concrete ceilings and architectural lighting that was custom designed for this project are combined.
From the night area, we highlight the main suite, which is accessed through the Gliss Master dressing room by Molteni upholstered in silk and which is the distributing element between the bedroom and the main bathroom. The dressing room has a chest of drawers or central element designed by Ferruz and lined with a beveled mirror.
The bed in the suite is from the Italian firm Meridiani, the bathroom in the suite is from the firm Armani-Roca and the carpentry from Trèpiu. The mirrors were designed by Ferruz.
The children’s suite-bedrooms have a very personal and youthful air depending on the character and tastes of each one.
The client’s works of art, one of their greatest hobbies, are a decorative element that could not be missing in this special apartment.
