ÁTICO EN LA ZONA ALTA
ÁTICO EN ZONA ALTA
Penthouse in the upper area
The property consists of two floors plus the turret; the ground floor, which houses the evening areas and has city and sea views, and the upper floor, which houses the daytime area, a large terrace offering its owners views to Collserola and the turret, with 360 degree views, and a separate space that is used as an apartment for guests.
The main elements of this project are steel, concrete and glass that provide continuity in the different spaces of the house.
The ceilings or volumes on the upper floor were raised to provide more space. It was also equipped with a skylight that brings natural light to the lower floor and large windows with hidden profiles that not only provide light but also offer fantastic views.
The visual angles were worked on, taking care of the details, the harmony of the environment, and to magnify a property that is already special and unique. From the large enclosed and hand-brushed parquet floors in stained oak, to the skylight and the central staircase that connects both floors. The staircase is one of the main architectural elements of the house and is clad in a black steel and glass plate, giving the impression that it is floating in the space. It is finished off with a glass lamp.
The terrace is very important in this project. The original balustrades are maintained to add personality and importance to the original architectural elements.
The lower floor contains the suites and bedrooms. The master suite has a grandstand balcony.
The bathroom, which is divided into a male and female side, uses different materials: solid oak blocks and grey micro-cement for the male side, and basalt stone on the walls and the exterior parquet in a lighter shade.
The Molteni dressing room, finished in transparent reflex glass, is illuminated with natural light.
